Si hoy pudiéramos escuchar lo que se transmitía en las emisoras de radio de finales de los cincuenta, seguramente nos encontraríamos con músicas de todo el mundo con un sonido en común, el sonido de una década en transformación.
Eran tiempos en los cuales la gente se reunía en los clubs para bailar , nacían las bases de la igualdad, las contraculturas, la fusión de estilos. Todo tenia un sello autentico y la música de aquella época no era la excepción.
Matuke And The Final Decision, banda residente en Barcelona y liderada por el músico chileno Esteban Matuke se define a si misma como banda clásica con grooves de la vieja escuela. Su entorno musical es global y multifacético. Sus inspiraciones se nutren de blues, rock clásico, mambo, exótica, psicodelia, latín jazz, oriental groove, influencias que evidentes en la selección de repertorio, el cual incluye temas propios y versiones cuidadosamente elegidas para hacer disfrutar, bailar, emocionarse. Se recrean en las reminiscencias de los años 50 y 60, se inspiran en la estética beat, noir, en el cabaret de variedades, sorprenden con la aparición de instrumentos protagonistas como el sitar indio o el pandeiro brasileño. Su misión es entretener, jugar, completar la interpretación musical con pinceladas de otras artes, recrear una atmosfera que pretenden que sea exclusiva de sus conciertos.

Matuke and The Final Decision is a Barcelona’s based band headed by Chilean musician Esteban Matuke, that defines itself as a classic band and oldies groover. Their musical background is global and multilayered. Their inspiration sources are several: blues, classic rock, mambo, exotica, psicodelia, latin jazz and oriental grooves. Those influences are well represented by the themes they play, either originals or covers that are carefully chosen to have fun, to dance and to be thrilled with. They recreate the 1950’s-60’s music flavours; they’re inspired by the beatniks, by the film noir aesthetics and by the cabaret. They surprise their audience with unexpected instruments as the Hindu sitar or the Brazilian pandeiro. Their mission is to entertain, play and complete their musical show with strokes of other scenic arts and create an exclusive and most personal atmosphere.
